Maine boasts a thriving local and organic food scene, bucking the national trend by actually increasing the number of farmers entering the world of food production. We have more coastline than any other state except Alaska, thus supporting thousands of fishing families and communities. Whether from land or sea, Maine food is something we are proud of and are eager to share with you.
We are fortunate to have our Convergence Kitchen run by Jonah Fertig of The Resilience Hub, Cooperative Fermentation and the Cooperative Development Institute (and recently of Local Sprouts Cooperative Cafe & Catering).
Jonah’s crew, aided by many of you volunteering, will turn out healthy and delicious meals made from local and organic ingredients. Your Convergence Ticket includes all meals and we will be keeping a coffee and tea station running and periodically refreshing a snack table.
